Characteristics of Sand Control Media Clogging Posed by Clayey Sands and Hydrate Particles in Gas-Hydrate Reservoir

摘要:Clayey fine sands and hydrate particles regenerated at downhole are potential undesirables triggering blockage on sand retaining medium during gas-hydrate extraction.In this study,we deployed sand retention experiment system to carry out screen media clogging investigation under the conditions of normal temperature, normal pressure and gas-liquid-sand tri-phase flow,while operated hydrate induced clogging experiment system aiming to conduct hydrate induced clogging test under the conditions of high pressure, low temperature and gas-liquid two-phase flow.The screen types used in study included wire-wrapped screen, metal sintered mesh screen, metal fiber screen and prepacked ceramsite screen. The median particle size of reservoir sand sample used in sand induced clogging test is 10.17μm. The results indicated that sand clogging traits of both screen media and joints are analogous,which embodied beginning state, escalating state and balancing state.At beginning state, permeability decreased slightly;At escalating state,permeability plummeted;At balancing state, permeability was apt to be stable status. To both screen media and joints,clogging would debilitate Its permeability up to 90%. Hydrate induced clogging process comprised haydrate crystallization phase and hydrate formation phase. In haydrate crystallization phase,permeability decreased mildly;Once temperature descended to hydrate-formation critical temperature TC,permeability plummeted and kept stationary state. Under the initial conditions of 6.5MPa and 15℃,Tc hovered around 7.3~7.5℃ and Permeability Debilitation reached above 95%.
